Victorian Government "Skills for Growth" Program

The Skills for Growth program provides organisations that have between 1 and 200 (FTE) staff (employed in Victoria) with free access to a specialist workforce planning consultant who will work with you to identify your strategic business aims and objectives, and develop your workforce plan and training plan.
Workforce Planning involves identifying, assessing, developing and sustaining employee workforce skills required to successfully accomplish business goals and priorities while balancing the needs and expectations of employees, and includes:
- identifying strategic priorities for the organisation
- assessing workforce skills and training needs
- establishment of a Workforce Plan
- providing a tailored Training Plan for employees
- assisting the organisation in placing employees into accredited training courses
The benefits of having your management and staff participate in this program include:
- increasing the productivity and efficiency of your workforce through improved skills;
- developing and applying expertise across your business, products and services;
- improvements to workplace practices and procedures; and
- skills-based training programs that meet business needs.
