Senior First Aid (Level 2) Course
Course Overview
Based out of Sports House in Albert Park, a short drive from the Melbourne CBD, this program provides participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to manage life threatening emergencies until professional medical help arrives.
Included in the program is training on OH&S, resuscitation, managing shock, bleeding, burns, fractures, soft tissue injuries, envenomation, exposure, cardiac emergencies, respiratory emergencies, diabetes, epilepsy and poisoning.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be accredited with the RLSSA Senior First Aid Award for the following units:
- SRXFAD001A Provide First Aid
- HLTCPR201A Perform CPR
- HLTFA201A Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- HLTFA301B Apply First Aid
The Senior First Aid qualification is valid for 3 years. Please note that in order to keep this qualification current for the 3 year term, you must have a current CPR qualification at all times.
