Fire Warden (with extinguishers)

Course Overview

Designed for people assigned to the role of wardens in their workplace. These may include building wardens, fire safety officers or OH&S officers. Course provider Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board - RTO # - 3067.

This accredited course is delivered by professional firefighters and is structured in accordance with Australian Standards:

• Emergency Control Organisation and Procedures in Buildings (AS 3745 - 2002)
• Emergency Response for Health Care Facilities (AS 4083 - 1997)

The course consists of theoretical and practical classes and the following content will be covered:

• Fire awareness in your workplace
• Practical Fire Extinguisher training
• Identifying various fire protection equipment in buildings
• Warden role and responsibilities
• Evacuation procedures
• Identification of the various types of extinguishers and hose reels on the premises
• Practical application of the extinguishers in a real fire situation
