Senior First Aid Level 2 Update

This course provides participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to manage life threatening emergencies until professional medical help arrives. This program educates participants in how to deal with medical emergencies arising from shock, bleeding, burns, fractures, soft tissue injuries, cardiac and respiratory emergencies, exposure, and poisoning.
This course is ideal for anyone involved in child supervision including parents, grandparents and teachers.
Reaccreditation courses are designed for those who have already completed the full course and their award is due to expire.
The course is provided in partnership between MSAC Institute of Training - RTO # 21761and Life Saving Victoria RTO # 21799. It is delivered and assessed by MSAC Institute of Training under license agreement with Lifesaving Victoria who enrol and certify the students.
Course Overview
If you are already qualified in Level 2 First Aid, don't miss the required 1 day re-accreditation course.
Upon successful completion, your knowledge and skills will be updated in the areas of emergency care, prevention and reacting safely in the event of an emergency, the control of minor injuries and the provision of First Aid and Resuscitation.
This program includes casualty assessment (DRABCD), covering both one and two operator CPR. Special considerations for adults, children and infants are also covered.
This course is accredited by Life Saving Victoria.
Prerequisites
Senior First Aid (with CPR updated annually)
The Senior First Aid (Level 2) qualification is valid for 3 years. Please note that in order to keep this qualification current for the 3 year term, you must have a current CPR qualification at all times. CPR qualifications must be updated annually.
